How is anyone able to walk away and abandon such a beautiful property? That is a question that explorers are asked on a regular basis. It was also the thought that crossed my mind as Bumblebee and I slowly drove up a weathered driveway in a small, relatively unknown town.
On a cold day in the middle of Winter, Bumblebee and I were out driving snowy backroads while listening to music. Holding hands and talking, we suddenly found ourselves faced with an unassuming farmhouse, positioned far off the road.
As we eagerly stepped inside the abandoned house, we immediately knew that it was something special. After we set up our cameras, we toured the hallways and rooms. Eventually puzzle pieces began to connect, and a story began to unfold.
Heading home from a weekend of exploring various abandoned locations, Bumblebee and I spotted a tell tale sign of an abandonment: a long overgrown driveway.
